Kids, Tweens & Teens Yoga Classes

Neuroscience has proven that the human brain develops into the mid-twenties. As a result, young people have to overly rely on their emotions rather than on language and reason for navigating tween life. The brain’s malleability during tween and teen years marks a crucial stage in both cognitive and emotional development and yoga is a useful tool to help young people thrive right now during school years and into adulthood. This series will include yoga appropriate for tweens, breathing and centering techniques, community-building exercises, and tools and tips for relaxation. Taught through a framework of respect for all students, this series is designed to use yoga to help students cultivate healthful ways to manage their emotions and stress levels.

Program Details

  • We will now offer two adolescent yoga programs. One for ages 5-10 and one for ages 11-17.
  • The Kids Yoga Class (Ages 5-10) meets every Thursday, 4:30 to 5:30 PM.
  • The Tween & Teen Yoga Class (ages 11-17) meets every Saturday, 11:30 to 12:30 PM. The Teen Class will start back up in October. Watch the schedule for dates.
  • $12 drop in rate per child.
