This program is taught over 4 weeks and designed for brand new yoga students who want to learn the basics and fundamental building blocks of power vinyasa yoga, a style of yoga that is simple, well-rounded yet physically transformative. This package includes the once a week 90 minute Beginner Series class PLUS UNLIMITED classes on the schedule during the Beginner Yoga Series and a Beginner Yogi booklet that you can take home that contains pics of all the poses, how to do yoga breathing, commonly used yoga language and some things to remember when praticing.

Program Benefits

  • Everyone in the class is a beginner.
  • Slower paced – The pace of the series is comfortable as the purpose is on learning rather than on having an intense workout. Each class builds on the next, so we ask that you try to attend all classes as this allows us to grow and move together as a group.
  • Workshop format – Featuring demonstration, discussion and practice, you are free to ask questions. This structure allows us to give you not only the alignment details of a pose but also the reasoning behind it.
  • Ujjayi – The breathing technique utilized in power yoga is explained and explored as the critical element that supports your yoga practice.

Program Details

  • The cost is $100 for all 4 sessions PLUS UNLIMITED yoga classes on the regular weekly schedule during the program & a take home Beginner Booklet with helpful reminders.
  • Arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins.
  • Wear exercise or yoga clothes that allow for ease of movement.
  • Avoid eating 1 hour before the workshop.
  • Bring water, towel and yoga mat. (Mat & towel rentals are available at the studio.)
Flora Nielsen
Flora has practiced yoga for over 13 years and completed her Teacher Training at Drishti in Spring 2015 is a She is a RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. She is a Tier 2 Certified Baptiste Yoga Teacher having completed Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Art of Assisting training and many other shorter programs and Immersions with the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute. Flora knew Baptiste Yoga was for her after her very first practice at Drishti, “Baptiste Yoga has transformed my mind, body and spirit. I have had moments of ease, strength, power, confidence, frustration, pain, tears, and surrender and it has all lead to my overall growth. As a teacher, if I can facilitate that growth for my students through this practice, it is the greatest gift I can give.
