What is Power Vinyasa Yoga?

Power Vinyasa Yoga is a fluid and physical practice that consists of 11 sequences and approximately 56 postures done over 60 to 90 minutes in a heated room. With an emphasis on linking breath with movement, students flow from one posture to the next and this movement provides a strong cardiovascular element. Power Yoga is a derivative of Ashtanga yoga. It uses Sun Salutations A and B as a warm-up.  It is designed to build strength, increase flexibility and endurance, release tension, increase focus and detoxify the entire body. There is also a strong emphasis on breathing throughout the practice and this helps to focus and calm the nervous system. Power Vinyasa Yoga is a physically strong, well-rounded yet simple practice that helps tone, cleanse and calm the body and mind. It is a complete workout on its own or it can be incorporated into your existing workoutout schedule. It will enhance all other aspects of your life, wellness and work. There are no mirrors in the studio because the focus is to feel the practice and focus on self-awareness.
